Storage for everything that isn't on your phone
Back up company files, keep your app's data, or run backups for your clients. Same simple plans as our family storage, an S3-compatible API, and fair prices for moving data in and out.
One place for your data, however you use it
Small businesses
Back up the shared drive, invoices, design files and job photos. Your whole team shares one plan, with no charge per person.
Developers and apps
Store your app's files and your customers' uploads through the S3 API. Works with the AWS SDKs, boto3, and anything else that speaks S3.
IT and managed services
Point restic, rclone or any S3-compatible backup tool at api.easytostore.com. One access key per machine, and read-only keys for restores.
The tools you already use, pointed somewhere fairer
An S3-compatible API
Buckets, uploads of any size in parts, byte-range downloads, and share links that last up to 7 days. If a program has an "S3 compatible" option, it works.
Keys you control
Make a key for each computer or program, and turn one off without touching the rest. Read-only keys can download but never change or delete.
Private if you want it
We keep files exactly as your program sends them. Encrypt before upload (restic always does, rclone has a "crypt" option) and only you can read them.
One pool of space
Files you keep through the API share your plan's space with any photos and videos. Settings shows exactly how much each uses.
Storage at our regular prices
Business accounts use the same plans as everyone else. Prices per year, in US dollars.
| Storage size | BasicAvailable now | ProtectedComing soon | UltraComing soon |
|---|---|---|---|
| 128 GB | $3 | $5 | $10 |
| 256 GB | $6 | $10 | $15 |
| 512 GB | $11 | $13 | $25 |
| 1 TB | $20 | $25 | $50 |
| Drives that can fail safely | None | 1 | 3, plus an off-site copy |
Basic keeps one copy on a single drive: use it as an extra backup, never as the only copy of business data. Most sizes can also be paid monthly; see all plans. Need more than 1 TB? Ask us.
Moving data in and out
Every month you can upload and download as much as your plan holds for free. Past that, you pay a little per TB, and the price only climbs for heavy use.
| Each month | Downloads | Uploads |
|---|---|---|
| Up to your plan's size | Free | Free |
| The next half of your plan's size | $1 per TB | $1 per TB |
| The half after that | $3 per TB | $3 per TB |
| Everything past twice your plan's size | $5 per TB | $5 per TB |
| Your first month | Same as above | Unlimited, free |
How you pay for it: on a monthly plan, transfer is added to your next monthly bill, or charged as soon as it reaches $10. On a yearly plan, it comes out of a prepaid balance you add from $10, topped up by you or automatically. The storage API needs that balance to run. Anything unused stays for later months.
Move in for free
Uploads are unlimited for your first month, so you can bring everything over at once without thinking about it. Downloads follow the normal monthly allowance from day one.
An example
On a 1 TB plan, the first 1 TB of downloads each month is free. Download 1.8 TB in a month and you pay $0.50 for the next half TB, plus $0.90 for the 0.3 TB after it: $1.40 in all.

Questions
Is this a different service from the family plans?
No. It's the same storage and the same plans. Business use simply leans on the storage API, so it comes with the transfer pricing above.
Can you see our files?
Photos added through the EasyToStore app are locked on your own device before they're sent, so we can't see them. Files sent through the storage API are kept exactly as your program sends them, so for anything private, encrypt first: restic always does, and rclone has a "crypt" option. Then we only ever hold scrambled data.
Is Basic good enough for business data?
Only as an extra copy. Basic keeps your files on a single drive with no guarantee: if that drive fails, the files on it are gone. Keep your main copy somewhere else, or wait for Protected and Ultra, which are built so drives can fail without losing anything.
What counts as an upload or a download?
Files you send to, or fetch from, the storage API at api.easytostore.com. The free amount is measured against your plan's size: on a 512 GB plan, 512 GB of downloads and 512 GB of uploads each month are free.
Which programs work?
Anything with an "S3 compatible" setting: rclone, restic, Cyberduck, the AWS command line tools, boto3, the AWS SDK for JavaScript, and many backup programs. The API guide has the exact settings.
Can the whole team use one account?
Yes. Every plan includes unlimited people at no extra cost. Give each computer or program its own access key so you can turn one off without affecting the others.

Send us a message with roughly how much you need and how often it changes, and we'll get back to you.
